The Scottish Barn is framed with massive hand hewn oak beams and capped with a steep roof. The German Barn’s construction is also impressive. Weighty oak beams are offset by wood paneled walls and highlighted with track lights. The Corn Crib, the smallest of the barns, is a sterling example of an early corn and oat storage building.
The spacious, unobstructed interiors of the German Barn and Scottish Barn are well suited to accommodate events of all sizes, whether formal or casual. Dancing, dining, cocktail parties, receptions, weddings, and commitment ceremonies are among the activities which can be held comfortably in the barns.
Rental agreements include the use of all three barns simultaneously. This unique arrangement offers a wide range of opportunities for planning events. For example, a cocktail reception could be held in the Scottish Barn, followed by a sit-down dinner or buffet in the German Barn. Alternatively, dinner could be held in the Scottish Barn with dancing and dessert planned for the German Barn. The Corn Crib is ideally suited as a welcome site for events. It is a charming space for the display of presents, name tags, wedding cakes or special decoration. It could also serve as a bar.
The grounds surrounding the barns and a large parking area are included with the rental of the barns. Trees and a pond punctuate the gracious and extensive lawn area of approximately five acres. A flower garden is positioned on top of the magnificently hand-crafted stone wall, which extends from the base of the German Barn. There is ample space as well for a tent of any proportion in a designated location near the barns.
A sizeable workspace for the catering of large events is offered in the Workshop Barn, a modern structure masked with old siding, which also houses two attractive bathrooms. Smaller events may be catered from the lower level of the German Barn.
The picturesque farmhouse is not available for use at this time, as it has not been restored.
The barns may be rented for large events starting in early May and ending in mid-October. The rental season may be extended for small to moderate sized events. To learn more about the uses and capacities of the barns, rental prices and guidelines for events, please visit Information
